MyDestination & Brady’s Biggest Baddest Bucket List Competition

It’s not very often I’ll enter competitions online. For one, time is very scarce, and the chances of winning are always so slim. But something jumped out at me when I heard that MyDestination was running a round-the-world travel competition, The Biggest Baddest Bucket List. I guess having a name beginning with “B” maybe drew me in at first, “Brady’s Biggest Baddest Bucket List” sure has a nice ring to it (Although took me 10 takes… Read more »

What happens to your photos after your wedding day? My post-wedding workflow and processes

The dress is back on its hanger, with your flowers at the base, and the grooms suit and shirt is probably scrunched up in a heap on the floor somewhere. So, what happens next? This page is to set some expectations as to what you will receive, when you will receive it, and why it takes so long, by sharing my post-wedding workflow and processes. For me, the post-wedding process starts before I even hit… Read more »

Traveling Costs for a Photographer

Traveling and photography goes hand in hand. While it would be lovely if you didn’t have to ever leave the studio to take photos, that is very rarely the case. There are several costs I pass on to my clients with regards to traveling costs. Here are a few of my guides when it comes to charging for travel. If it’s within 25km’s of my studio I don’t charge anything – It’s a given that… Read more »

The branding was released over the weekend in The Dominion Post. Wellington Racing Club (aka Trentham) worked with the team at Web Boutique to put together their branding and ideas, and with the Wellington Racing Club’s direction I was able to get some amazing photos of their models Read more »

International Space Station (ISS) in the sky over Lake Waikareiti

Last weekend I had four days away at the remote Lake Waikareiti (Near Napier, New Zealand). I took a squillion photos, which I’ll eventually get round to doing a proper blog about. But till then, here’s this stunning view of the ISS orbiting earth above the lake. The photo itself is a 25″ second exposure, so you can start to picture how fast it travels. And, here’s one of my father & I playing with the… Read more »

A capella + A wedding – That boring cliché wedding song + Nelly = Amazingness Gentleman’s Rule shows us what happens when everyone at a… Read more »

Ghosts of World War II

Below is a haunting collection of photos showing what it would look like if the ghosts of World War II appeared on our streets today. The amazing images have been overlaid with photos taken recently, providing a glimpse into World War II. Dangerous crossing: Soldiers race up Avenue de Paris in Cherbourg in 1944, speeding past the rubble and over modern-day road markings. Fear and fighting: The original image from 1944, before it was laid over a… Read more »
