Meat Loaf performing in Wellington
He took the words right out of Australians’ mouths with a shocker at the AFL grand final – then Meat Loaf rocked his way over to Wellington. The veteran rocker, 64, played TSB Arena last week and fans were hoping for the best after he was slated for his 13-minute performance prior to the grand final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground earlier this month.
There’s no denying Meat Loaf has seen better days, but the enjoyment of seeing Meat Loaf live in Wellington was for the full stage show. The musical talents of the full band lifted Meat Loaf up, and while Meat Loaf may not have been on time or in tune all the time, it was still thoroughly enjoyable to see this rocker who has sold millions of copies of his albums worldwide since he released Bat Out of Hell in 1977.
