Praha hahaha… Prague!

Prague, or Praha as they call it locally, was our next stop. Another complementary hotel meant we lived like a king & queen for two nights at the stunning Santini Residence. It really was our home away from home, and the breakfast each morning was to die for!

We didn’t do a whole lot in Prague, except for walking the streets exploring. We got in quite late on our first night, and left quite early on the third day, so only really had a full day there. What do you do if you have too much money? Buy a porsche and paint it gold…

Not far from our hotel was the Love Lock bridge, which is an old bridge which was been transformed by the addition of thousands of padlocks. The tradition states that two lovers secure a padlock to the bridge and throw the keys into the flowing river below to symbolise their love.

I took it one step further and got Julia to courier a padlock over with our names and the date engraved on it.

Right next to the bridge is the John Lennon Wall, which has turned into an amazing wall of art influenced by the Beatles member after he passed away in 1980.

If geocaching is a word you’re familiar with there is one here which is well worth doing, here we are writing in the logbook.

We then walked down to the Vltava River, that the Charles Bridge passes over, and jumped in a boat car thing and paddled around the river for an hour.

After this we kept wandering, and before long stumbled upon the largest shopping mall in Prague. Emma was in heaven, me not so much.

We headed back to our room and enjoyed the bottle of Moët we had purchased at the cellar door in Champagne. It was a limited edition bottle which came with a fancy pen so you could write all over the bottle, neat!

Up in the morning, breakfast a winner again, we jumped on a bus en route for the airport where we were soon on a flight to Amsterdam.
